Set during the time of the Japanese bombing of Pearl Harbor, two childhood friends Danny Walker (Josh Hartnett) and Rafe McCawley (Ben Affleck) are caught up in the events that draw the United States into World War II. Eighteen years later, they are both 1st Lieutenants in the US Air Force but Rafe leaves for Britain when he is accepted into the RAF. Later both are stationed at Pearl Harbor and find themselves in love with the same woman, Nurse Lt. Evelyn Johnson (Kate Beckensale). 183 min (appx. 3 hours)
